Operations with rational numbers is one of the most challenging topics for 7th-grade students. To better reinforce the topic of division with rational numbers, an interactive test has been prepared for students and teachers to use in class. A brief overview and an example are provided. By solving this test, you can take your knowledge of the subject to the next level. Good luck!
When dividing two fractions, the first fraction (the dividend) is written as is, and the second fraction (the divisor) is inverted and multiplied by the first fraction (inverting it according to the multiplication operation). After this step, we perform the multiplication as we learned in multiplication with rational numbers.
We should also pay attention to the following in division:
∇ If the dividend is a mixed number, it is converted to an improper fraction.
∇ If the dividend is an integer, 1 is written in the denominator.
∇ After converting to multiplication, simplification is done if possible. When simplifying, any number in the numerator can be simplified with any number in the denominator of the numbers being multiplied.First, we write the first fraction as is, then we invert the second fraction and perform the multiplication.

Dividing rational numbers:
$$\frac{a}{b} : \frac{c}{d} = \frac{a}{b} \cdot \frac{d}{c}$$
Which means we flip the second fraction and multiply.
