About Us
Maths that makes sense, one step at a time
Maths Fun Hub is an English-language mathematics resource for learners, parents and teachers. We bring together topic explanations, practice questions, quizzes and practical activities to help make maths easier to explore at home and in the classroom.
A fraction can start with sharing a pizza. Geometry can start with the shapes in a room. Our aim is to connect mathematical ideas with familiar experiences, then give learners opportunities to practise and explain their thinking.
What you can find here
- Topic guides: explanations of number skills, fractions, integers, geometry and other school maths concepts.
- Practice and quizzes: questions and review activities that help learners revisit a topic and identify what needs more work.
- Hands-on learning: activities that use everyday objects, patterns and visual examples.
- Support for adults: ideas for parents and teachers on building confidence, encouraging practice and responding to common learning difficulties.
Choose a starting point, not a label
Our age categories are browsing guides, not fixed ability levels or an official curriculum. School programmes differ, and children develop at different rates. Choose a topic that matches the learner’s current understanding, revisit an earlier explanation when needed, and move forward when the idea feels secure.
How to use our resources
Read an explanation together, try a few questions, and talk about the method as well as the answer. Short, thoughtful practice can be more useful than rushing through a long list. Parents and teachers should check that an activity is suitable for the learner and supervise younger children online.
Maths Fun Hub provides supplementary educational material. It is not an examination board, an accredited school or a substitute for individual teaching and assessment. No resource can guarantee a particular grade or learning outcome.
